i just found your blog (very nice) and bounced to here, since annie dillard is my all time favourite writer. i just bought maytrees and i'm so excited to read it that i'm saving it until i finish the collection of essays by orhan pamuk that i'm reading through right now. i want all my brain just for her.
I really like Annie's writing! She has been a great author to read and I always feel inspired reading her material :)
I had never heard Annie Dillard's voice. Thank you, Jonas.
Last Book?? O heartbreak.
Annie Dillard is my all-time favourite essayist. She has shoved me awake, expressed with power what I had only been able to feel, engaged me wholly soul and intellect, and made me want to write.
She's still young. Maybe just a 10 year rest is all she needs.
and thank you for compiling all this. A priceless resource.
Thank you for your list of Annie Dillard blurbs! What are the odds that Google would lead me here. I was desperately trying to remember a book that had an Annie review on the cover, and was pulling my hair out. Last Places: A Journey Up North! Yay!! I found it!! And Pilgrim at Tinker creek will always be on my short list of faves.
